In June 2022, Charlotte Hornets star player Miles Bridges was charged with domestic violence allegations for hitting his ex-girlfriend Mychelle Johnson in front of their two children.

The 26-year-old forward had previously faced charges of misdemeanor child abuse and damaging personal property, but these charges were later dropped due to lack of evidence.

However, Bridges faced criticism several months after the incident when a fan commented “OK Abuser” on one of his posts on X (formerly known as Twitter).

In response, Bridges denied the accusation, stating “Never abused anybody.” The fan then shared a photo of Bridges’ ex-girlfriend, Mychelle Johnson, which showed injuries to her face, and asked Bridges, “Then who did this?” Bridges defended himself, claiming the injuries were due to acne and failed lip filler.

Bridges faced heavy criticism after the incident. However, Johnson stood in support of him and explained her point by saying that Bridges was not a woman beater.

“He’s not a woman beater. If you asked me to describe him, that word would never come to my mind & he’s never, never abused our children.

We all have our flaws & he’s not perfect, but overall, he’s a good person.” Mychelle Johnson wrote in her post on X.

Fans Fire Up Over Miles Bridges’ Comments: Outrage Erupts in the Replies

When fans saw Bridges’ comments on that post, they became enraged and responded in the comments section.

One fan said, “Meanwhile, his own son is seen on video saying to his grandmother that his father hit his mother.

Crazy world, people hop on social media and do anything for some laughs and clicks while their children are experiencing a first-hand domestic violence case by their own parents, allegedly.”

Meanwhile, another fan reacted, “Lock that man up.”

Another fan mentioned, “She said he didn’t hit her and this picture does shows acne.”

Another fan supported Bridges and said, “I mean if u look closely her face look like what he saying.”

Even after Bridges was cleared of all charges, NBA Fans continued to criticize him. While some people are labeling him a woman beater, others are endorsing him.
