Caitlin Clark Sends Emotional Message to Aliyah Boston Before Fever-Mystics

The Indiana Fever are finding their rhythm and stacking wins entering the back half of the season. Catapulting the Fever’s success, the ever-growing chemistry between rookie phenom Caitlin Clark and the WNBA’s 2023 Rookie of the Year, Aliyah Boston.

Clark, who’s averaging 16.1 points, 6.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, leads all rookies in scoring and assists. Of Boston’s 79 assisted field goals, Clark has delivered 53 of them, CBS reported — 36 of which have come over the past nine games.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the Fever’s matchup against the Washington Mystics, Clark opened up about what a powerful force Boston is for her and the team, both on and off the court.

“She just wants the best for every single person,” Clark said of the two-time All-Star. “She’s such a positive light in our locker room.. She’s always there whether things are great or whether things aren’t as great. She’s just a very consistent person in our locker room.”

On a personal level, Clark is “grateful” for Boston’s friendship and mentorship. “She’s someone who’s been very helpful through my rookie year, obviously having gone through it just a year ago,” the Iowa alum continued.

“I think you can tell our chemistry is really coming along. A lot of that has just been developed through games so, the more practice we get together, only the better it’s going to get.”
