Everything she does is analysed in the WNBA

Angel Reese displays a tattoo she has never shown before: What is its meaning?

Every one of her movements on and off of the court is scrutinized, and her tattoos are certainly garnering attention.

The Sky are not having the most successful season as they sit 8th in the overall power rankings, but Reese has been impressive and one of her main targets is to be better than Caitlin Clark. They are both fighting for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year.

Reese is living the dream and that means she is regularly sharing snippets of her life on Instagram. Her latest photo dump has shown off a tattoo that fans had not previously been able to see.

Reese’s lesser-known tattoo

The tattoo is behind her ear and appears to be in an Asian language, although it is not clear which one.

It is often covered by her headband during WNBA games which is why fans had not honed in on it before.

ESPN’s Elle Duncan weighed in on the competition between Reese and Clark for Rookie of the Year, acknowledging the tough challenge for guards like Clark to make an immediate impact in the WNBA compared to post players.

Despite this, she still leans slightly towards Clark for the award, citing the difficulty for guards to transition seamlessly into the league.

Duncan expressed her thoughts on The Elle Duncan Show, saying: “I would still maybe slightly give the edge to Caitlin… Because most WNBA players would tell you it’s harder for a guard to translate right away in the W than it is for a post player.” She added, “Because she’s going up against that aspect of it, I’ll still probably give the nod to Caitlin Clark for Rookie of the Year, but I think it’s going to be a great race.”
