Angel Reese debuts dramatic new hairstyle after cryptic post about ‘never being a rebound’
Angel Reese has been sporting a new trim lately after posting about heartache in the wake of her successful attempt at breaking an WNBA record.
On Tuesday, the 22-year-old star of the Chicago Sky took to social media to show off her current hairdo after the team’s 84-71 loss to the Seattle Storm on Sunday.
‘Love a fresh cut,’ she wrote over busty footage of herself in one of her sportscars on her Instagram Story.
‘@crownedbyony by my favvvv,’ Reese added, as she tagged a local hairstylist who only goes by ‘Ebony’ on social media.
Before revealing her new look, Reese shared snaps of her gameday outfit – a jean dress – with curly hair before taking on Seattle, captioning her post on X: ‘I loveeee me a double double but i’ve never been a rebound.’

Reese broke Candace Parker’s record of 10 consecutive double doubles in a season on June 30
The forward, who was named as an All-Star in her rookie season, was spotted with rapper G Herbo, 28, in Chicago last month.
She previously dated Cam’Ron Fletcher, a 6-ft junior small forward of the Florida State Seminoles.
The couple were in a relationship for over six months from June 2023 to March, according to People.
In June, Reese registered her 11th consecutive double-double, despite a 70-62 loss against the Minnesota, to break Candace Parker’s record of 10 in a single season.
According to The Associated Press, Reese is behind Caitlin Clark to win rookie of the year
But, according to The Associated Press, Reese trails Caitlin Clark – the favorite – for the league’s Rookie of the Year Award.
A 15-member panel gave the edge to Clark in a 9-5 vote on Tuesday. One person abstained.
‘Today, I would say Clark, only because they have one more win overall as a team and have a 2-1 lead head-to-head,’ said voter Christy Winters-Scott, a basketball analyst for the Mystics.
Clearly this could change as the WNBA season progresses. It has been a complete joy for me to witness how both players have evolved as professionals in such a short amount of time in the league.’
