The Caitlin Clark-led Indiana Fever faces a big challenge against the Washington Mystics on Wednesday, trying to get closer to the .500 mark and clinch a spot in the playoffs. After beating the New York Liberty during the weekend, Clark & Co. are ready to face the struggling Mystics at home.
Head coach Christie Sides made a notable change to the starting lineup, pairing up Lexie Hull with Caitlin Clark. They were accompanied by Kelsey Mitchell, Katie Lou Samuelson and Aliyah Boston in the starting lineup.

Lexie Hull was picked sixth overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2022 WNBA Draft. She has played 72 games and her introduction to the starting lineup has left fans impressed.
In 16 games this season, Hull has averaged 3.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. She shoots 38.3% from the field, 35.0% from deep and 78.6% from the free-throw line.
Caitlin Clark coming off a historic performance against the New York Liberty
Caitlin Clark remains one of the hottest names in the WNBA after her performance against the Liberty, where she recorded her best performance of the season. The star rookie put on her first career triple-double, scoring 19 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing 13 assists.
She became the first rookie in the WNBA to record a triple-double and the first Fever player to do so. Moreover, she became the fastest player to score 350+ points and dish 150+ assists, doing so in 22 matches, eclipsing the prior record, which belongs to WNBA legend Sue Bird.
Clark won’t be making the trip to the upcoming Paris Olympic Games, which will be an advantage to her and the Fever to get better for the second part of the season.
The young guard is feeling more comfortable in her role and Fever fans hope this Mystics game is another example of that.
