aitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are gearing up for their 23rd game of the 2024 WNBA season as they travel to the nation’s capital on Wednesday, July 10, to face the Washington Mystics for the second time.

For some reason, the WNBA decided to schedule the game at Noon ET during a weekday. Many fans will be at work and won’t be able to watch the game.

The Fever vs. Mystics matchup isn’t the only game impacted by this schedule. The Chicago Sky vs. Atlanta Dream, the New York Liberty vs. Connecticut Sun, and the Las Vegas Aces vs. Seattle Storm are all scheduled during work hours.

Some think the reasoning behind this weird WNBA schedule is due to the Team USA vs. Canada men’s basketball pre-Olympics scrimmage that starts at 10:30 p.m. ET, but the WNBA easily could have scheduled games around that so as not to conflict with their fans’ work hours.

Fans are not happy with the WNBA’s scheduling decision and made sure they knew about it on social media.

After a 3-10 start to the season, the Fever have improved to 9-13 over the last nine games. Not only have they enhanced their record, but the Fever are now in prime position to make the WNBA Playoffs for the first time since 2016.
