Which is why most royals are given a code name, and the Sussexes were no exception. Following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and wife Kate became known as the Prince and Princess of Wales.

But back in their Duke and Duchess of Cambridge days, however, the couple were referred to by security as ‘Daphne Clark’ and ‘Danny Collins’ – with the initial DC of course standing for Duke of Cambridge or Duchess of Cambridge.

According to British Heritage Travel, Meghan and Harry were given a nickname, with Meghan being know as ‘Davina Scott’, while Harry was ‘David Stevens’.
