The 2023-24 season has been quite the roller-coaster for the Milwaukee Bucks, as they’ve had a bit of a bumpy ride. From making a in-season coaching change to being forced to play without one of the league’s best players in Giannis Antetokounmpo for a handful of games at a time, while also trying to acclimate Damian Lillard into a new system and environment, it’s been….alot.
However, the Bucks have fought through it and stormed back, as they find themselves firmly entrenched in the second spot in the Eastern Conference at 46-26 with just 10 games to go. However, with the postseason around the corner, Bucks coach Doc Rivers could be forced to yank several players out of the rotation.
Let’s take a look at which players could run into challenges, as it pertains to playing time.
5. Patrick BeverleyPatrick Beverley will miss the foreseeable future due to a ill-timed wrist injury, which he explained on his signature Pat Bev Podcast.
“I talked to the doctor and he informed me that I tore a ligament in my right wrist. And I’m going to need it surgically repaired, which takes three to four months.”
Beverley added that the injury happened prior to Milwaukee’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, March 24th. We haven’t yet seen an official diagnosis, but this timetable would essentially end Beverley’s season.
He’s a gladiator and will surely try to play through the injury (all players do), but he admitted that the injury hindered his shooting. In that case, his season should be over.
