Whoopi Goldberg surprised Sydney Sweeney live on “The View” with candy gifts from ‘under my chest’

During a live interview on Wednesday’s broadcast of “The View,” Goldberg interrupted the conversation with a comical moment, offering sweet treats to actress Sydney Sweeney, known for her roles in “Euphoria” and “Immaculate.”

As Sweeney visited the talk show to discuss her upcoming horror film, where she portrays a nun with an unholy pregnancy, cohost Sara Haines brought up the practicality of the fake pregnancy belly Sweeney had to wear during filming.

Sweeney confirmed that she used the fake belly to conceal snacks, such as Sour Patch Kids and peanut M&Ms. Goldberg seized the opportunity to contribute to Sweeney’s snack stash by presenting her with a new sweet treat.

“I have something for you. I want you to try these,” Goldberg announced, reaching across the table to hand Sweeney a handful of food items wrapped in red packaging. Sweeney jokingly asked if Goldberg also carried these snacks around, to which Goldberg responded with humor, saying, “I carry them under my chest. You’re welcome. They’re covered, though.”

Although the specific brand of the sweets wasn’t mentioned on air, cohost Sunny Hostin described them as “sweet and sour.” Entertainment Weekly has reached out to “The View” for further details.

Goldberg’s affinity for snacks is well-known on the show, with the Oscar-winning actress often indulging in various treats. In another amusing incident, a mystery treat suddenly appeared beside her in a bowl during the broadcast, adding to the fun.

“The View” airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC, providing viewers with engaging discussions and entertaining moments like Goldberg’s impromptu candy offering to Sweeney.
