Jeremy Renner, who played Clint Barton a.k.a Hawkeye in MCU since the original Avengers movie, felt sorry for the Thanos actor Josh Brolin for the hatred he faced after playing the character. “I think he almost feels bad that he has to play such a bad guy,” Renner said at the Asia Press Conference in Seoul while promoting Avengers: Endgame (via Brie Larson HQ). However, Renner never met Brolin on the set of the movie directly.
