James has suffered a rough start to life as a Laker after struggling from the field in his first four starts.

There were no such issues on Thursday as the former USC Trojan built on a positive performance against the Atlanta Hawks.

Bronny scored 13 points as well as recording five rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.

He started strong, sinking eight first-half points and going 3-of-5 shooting.

The guard ended the game 5-of-10 from the field, including 1-of-3 from 3-point range.

The points total was a Summer League high for James, who had endured a 0-15 3-pointer slump earlier in the tournament.

After a shaky start, his impressive work on Thursday has plenty of fans believing he could be a steal at No. 55 in last month’s Draft.

“That’s an NBA player,” responded one fan to footage of Bronny’s exploits.

“Baby Goat in action,” said a second.

“He’s found his rhythm,” declared another.

‘Summer league doesn’t matter,’ declares Undisputed star Rachel Nichols after Bronny James’ injury scare

“Everyone that was clowning him stay on that side,” commented a fourth.

“I apologize I was not familiar with your game,” declared a fifth.

Bronny revealed following Wednesday’s win over the Hawks that his dad LeBron had called him for a pep talk.

Four-time NBA champion LeBron is currently away with Team USA for the Paris Olympics.

But he has kept a close eye on his son’s Summer League outings – and had some important words of advice.

Bronny fears

Bronny James has had a rough go of things during the Summer League – and fans began to worry for the rookie.

A social media clip of Bronny during a 88-74 loss to the Celtics went viral as the 2024 second-round pick also air-balled a three-point shot as the clock expired.

The 19-year-old didn’t fare well in the contest, scoring just two points on 1-of-5 shooting, three rebounds, one assist, two turnovers, and three fouls.

“I genuinely feel sorry for Bronny. this is BAD,” one commented.

“He’s gotta be nervous,” another wrote.

“It’ll get better from here,” a third stated.

“My mom, my dad really help me, encouraging me to stay focused and keep being myself,” Bronny said via ESPN.

“So I feel like that’s a big part of how I came out [tonight].

“[He told me] just stay aggressive.

“Even though my shot hasn’t been falling, just staying aggressive.”

The Lakers return to action on Saturday as they face the Chicago Bulls at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
