Stephen Curry, widely regarded as the best shooter in NBA history, did not take a break this offseason. Instead, he has been dominating the court in international competitions.

The 36-year-old point guard delivered back-to-back impressive performances that led Team USA to a 5-0 record in the exhibition games at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Their first game of the preliminary round finished with Team USA securing the victory over Serbia by a score of 110-84.

Curry finished with 11 points, three assists, and three rebounds, while LeBron James amazed the fans with 21 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds.

Curry stunned every fan in the crowd during the game with his exceptional 3-point shooting skills, but there was one particular shot that stood out among them all.

In the final seconds of the game, the four-time NBA champion quickly grabbed the ball and made a jaw-dropping look-away 3-pointer.

As everyone was looking at the ball, Curry turned away and celebrated before the shot even went in — proving just how confident he is in his shooting abilities.

Kevin Durant, who missed all the exhibition games and several practice sessions due to a lingering calf strain, surprised everyone by appearing on the court.

After recovering from the injury, Durant finished the opening game against Serbia with an impressive 23 points.

Stephen Curry Responds to Fans Believing He’s Sporting His National Colors for the First Time

Curry had previously competed for his country at the World Championships, even though this was his first time at the Olympics.

Chef Curry participated in the 2007 FIBA Under 19 World Championship as a member of Team USA. In 2010 and 2014, he participated for Team USA as well.

Curry, nevertheless, came dangerously close to competing in the 2016 Brazil Olympics, but his ailments prevented him from doing so. During a recent interview with Marc J. Spears of Andescape, Curry explained how he represented his country before making his Olympic debut.

He also responded to fans who think he is representing his country for the first time.

“I’m surprised a lot of people are realizing that this is my first time playing in the Olympics. I did play for Team USA in 2010 and 2014 on the World Championship team.

I missed out on the three Olympic opportunities I’ve had while I’ve been in the league. So, I’m excited about it. I have a little bit of FIBA experience. The team that we have is amazing.

Paris, where the world basketball competition is right now, has no cakewalk. It’s going to be tough for us to win.” Curry said.

Despite being a star player, Curry is also a prankster. Recently, he hilariously poked fun at Anthony Edwards. Curry never holds back in showcasing his shooting skills, as he did against Serbia.

Fans anticipate more outstanding performances in the upcoming games.
