Sauce Gardner made a wild joke about Donald Trump’s shooter before deleting it on Saturday.

The former United States President was the victim of an assassination attempt while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, this weekend, with a 20-year-old assailant coming within an inch of killing him.

Trump Miraculously survived, with the projectile ripping through his right ear. The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, has since become the subject of internet memes due to his fortunate inaccuracy.

Gardner joined in on Saturday evening, suggesting Crooks, who was killed by a Secret Service sniper, was a “mouse and key” player. He deleted the tweet, but not before it got the screenshot treatment.

Check it out below:

“Do these  athletes not realize that people screenshot things there’s no need to delete it after you post it everybody seen it,” a fan pointed out.

“Sauce is the funniest guy in the league 😭😭,” another offered.

“Why’d he delete he cooked,” someone else wondered.

Sauce Gardner Had A Lot To Say On Social Media This Saturday

Sauce Gardner would switch gears later on, sharing what appeared to be an endorsement of the stricken presidential candidate.

The post wasn’t met with total positivity, prompting him to tweet the following:

He then questioned folks who judge people because of who they vote for, revealing he’s never taken to the polls himself.

“In all honesty, I never voted before and am unfamiliar with politics, but I do think it’s odd to judge people based on who they vote for. Maybe it’s not odd and I just don’t understand because I’m not familiar with it. Somebody fill me in,” he wrote.

Gardner, the fourth overall pick two years ago, has been an All-Pro in both of his NFL seasons.
